Yearning for a full body massage? The Ofuro Cedar Wood Hot Tub from Firehouse is like your own personal body massage parlour. Stretch out in the unique oval barrel and drift away from all the everyday stresses. If it is your preference, let the strong warm water jets massage every part of your body and open the forced air jets to complete the sensual pleasure and feeling of wellbeing.
Pleasure shared, is pleasure doubled. The Ofuro is big enough and deep enough to share this exquisite experience with your partner.
Crafted from the finest solid Red Cedar Wood, the Ofuro Hot Tub draws its inspiration from Japanese zen-like physical and spiritual relaxation and being at harmony with nature. The Ofuro Hot Tub is constructed differently, and looks different, from any other hot tub or spa you have ever seen. An Ofuro experience makes it easy to understand why hot soaking is more of a spiritual ritual in the oriental world. The Ofuro is perfectly at home in a manicured garden, Japanese garden, landscaped grounds, or personally designed space indoors or outdoors.
An Ofuro Hot Tub was specially conceived for those who work hard and want to pamper themselves with unsurpassed luxury and exclusivity in their own private retreat, to daily restore mental, spiritual and physical well-being.
If your preference is a circular hot tub to optimise the volume of water, the Northern Light Ofuro Hot Tub can oblige with a diameter of 1270mm (50 inches) Red Cedar Wood Tub. Still large enough to lie almost full length in the hot water, with only your head sticking out! Or to sit up with the soothing water reaching to your chin and, if you prefer to add it, the water jets kneading your aching muscles and the air pulsating your skin.
What makes an Ofuro Hot Tub Unique?
Traditionally, oriental bathing takes place in very hot deeper water, heated by means of a quiet heat source, originally wood-fired heaters. The shapes and depth of an Ofuro tub have been specially designed to allow a deep chin soak in hot water and the thick cedar wood ensures that it warms up quickly and maintains its heat for much longer than in any other material or shape of hot tub or spa. These qualities combine to make an Orufo Hot Tob truly unique. For starters, the Ofuro is manufactured from Western Red Cedar Wood. It is naturally resilient to decay and the wood itself contains anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, actively killing bacteria and fungi. The pleasant aromatic flavour enhances the natural therapy of bathing in an Orufo Hot Tub! Red Cedar wood is renowned for its high insulating value and resistance to water, extreme temperatures and sunlight. The water heats up much quicker in the cedar wood tub and retains its heat for much longer. The unique architectural design, using a stainless-steel strap system to hold together the wood staves in either an oval or circular barrel shape, allows the tub to naturally expand and contract without worrying about the tub leaking or the wood warping or splitting. The Ofuro Hot Tub is deeper than any other design. With an inside depth of 650 mm and outside depth of 750mm, you can fully immerse your body in the hot tub. The tub is fitted with a floor drain.
Firehouse offers Northern Lights sanitation systems that are completely halogen, chlorine and bromine free. This is a much healthier and environment-friendly way to keep the water clean and the tub hygienic. Ofuro Hot Tubs are precision constructed with state-of-the-art laser technology, but with the same artistic flair of age-old barrel making by top craftsmen.
The patented, easy-to-use spa control systems ensure you can enjoy your Ofuro Hot Tub in safety and comfort.
Choice of Ofuro Hot Tub Shape.
Ofuro Hot Tubs are constructed in two barrel shapes, oval or circular. Both are large enough for two people and at 650mm, deep enough to soak right up to your chin when seated. Shorter persons can sit on benches, or lower the water level. The oval-shaped hot tub is 900 mm wide and 1750mm long. The circular shaped Ofuro has an outside diameter of 1270mm and both shapes hold 475 litres of water. Outside installation, whether on a deck or in the garden, requires no special adaptation. If installed indoors, it is recommended that the hot tub is seated on a tiled floor or tray with drains, to avoid spillage damaging the floor or water running out of the bathroom and to assist with draining the tub. Because of the very hot water, installation of ventilation fans, or other forms of ventilation is recommended. Our professional designers at Firehouse can inspire you with ideas for the perfect setting for your hot tub.
Choice of Ofuro Hot Tub Heating
The electric Ofuro Hot Tub heating system comprises an energy saving 1.4Kw heater, or a powerful 3 Kw heater with LCD controller and filter. The quiet circulating pump will not disturb your tranquil experience. This system can be used all-year round and the filter eliminates the need for frequent water changes. The electric system can be enhanced with water and air jets for complete a hydrotherapy experience and an interior light to create the right mood. If you want to stick to the ritual of wood-fired heating, Firehouse offers you our energy effective Timberline wood-fired heater. You may supplement the wood heater with an electric heater or propane gas heater for greater versatility. Ask the experts at Firehouse about the option of heat exchangers.
Accessories to Complete the Picture
Firehouse keeps an entire range of useful accessories to enhance your Ofuro Hot Tub for even greater comfort and enjoyment. You may add cedar wood stairs to easily and safely access your hot tub. Cedar shelving not only makes the hot tub look more attractive and finished-off, it is also a handy place to put you refreshing drinks or other things you may require while relaxing in your hot tub. A specially designed cover will protect your investment, keep dirt out, and keep the heat in if you want to leave the tub for a short while.
